Alex is a postdoctoral research fellow on the ReSET project. Alex is working on the development, implementation, and analysis of the cognitive-emotional tasks used in the intervention. Prior to joining the ReSET team, Alex was based at Royal Holloway, University of London for his PhD studies, where his research focussed on developmental changes in how we choose between exploiting a known option and exploring a novel option (otherwise known as the explore/exploit trade-off). In addition to academic positions, Alex has worked with adolescents in a range of settings including the youth justice system, charities and educational settings. He currently sits on the trustee board for two charities that work with young people in London: Dragon Hall Trust and Peer Power.
