The ReSET group at your child’s school will be run by either school staff, the ReSET Research team, a local Mental Health Support Team (MHST), or equivalent.

Please contact the Research Team or your child’s school for specific information on who is running your child’s ReSET group.

The Mental Health Support Team (or equivalent) will store names of students in the group for their records. Group facilitators will be provided with parent contact details for research purposes.

To help the MHST (or equivalent) in their work, the ReSET will share some anonymised information about the young people taking part in the group, including age, gender and overall questionnaire scores about wellbeing. This information will not be linked to anything that identifies individuals in the groups, like names or dates of birth.

The data controller for this project will be University College London (UCL). The UCL Data Protection Officer makes sure that your child’s personal data is kept safe. They can be contacted at:
data-protection@ucl.ac.uk.

UCL’s’ data protection legislation can be found here

Your child’s data will be processed under the lawful basis of ‘Public task’ for personal data and ‘Research purposes’ for special category data. Your child’s personal data will be processed as long as it is required for the research project.
If we are able to anonymise or pseudonymise thepersonal data your child provides (remove their name and any identifying information), we will make sure to do this and will try to minimise the processing of personal data wherever possible.

If you are concerned about how your child’s personal data is being processed, or if you would like to contact us about their rights, please contact UCL first at data-protection@ucl.ac.uk
